According to this advert from a fench sellers website, Country was a badge for the Kasuga Musical Instruments company, which buikt guitars for Greco and some other brands. Lurking around on the web I found only enthusiast colments and appreciations about the quality of their production.

Kasuga could indeed be the one! But I still have to find some pic of my guitar! (I'm not obsessive, just passionate).

Hello dear greguti,

thank you for this interesting post.
My father actually owns a country electric guitar.
If I remember well, he bought it to his neighboor 10 years ago...and without to know the origin.

I also play guitar and I like to know the origin and story of the guitars.

In your post, I reconized a guitar which is really similar to the one of my father :
the message : http://www.matsumoku.org/ggboard/posting.php?mode=reply&f=19&t=9670#pr62517
Only the shape of the body is different at the place around the 20 to 24th cases.
It is more like a strato guitar for the one of my father. The two pieces of wood (horns) are straight in the same direction of the neck and not going outside or inside (not curved).
The buttons, switchs are the same, the mics too.
The head is the same.
The big difference comes from the neck, where the one of my father countains a long flower mades of mother-of-pearl (or assimilated).
I didn't see yet a country guitar with this flower.
At the beginning, I thought the guitar was an Ibanez JEM because of this flower.

I hope these details could help you in your investigation :)

here a pic of the guitar :

see you.

The french seller claiming "Country" to be a KASUGA product might have his info from here:

http://www.t-shiga.com/sub7-5-1-17.htm

http://www.oldguitar.jp/catalog/kasuga.htm

K.Country was the Acoustic line for Kasuga in the mid seventies!

"Country" (without K.) is most likely from another facility !!!?
jedistar.com says it's probably Matsumoku /early eighties
