Every now and then GoDaddy changes their database server host name. Funny, I didn't get any notifications of this. When they do this the board is looking in the wrong place for it's data.

I guess GoDaddy does this just to keep me on my toes. Kinda pisses me off though. I'd sure like to know ahead of time when they intend to break things.

We should be good to go now. Sorry for the issues but it was beyond my control.

May I be the first to "Yay!!"? :)

I'm just happy that's all's now good; no apologies necessary, Neal!

Yeah its nice to have things back in order.

Whilst speaking to tech support, who was trying to be as helpful as can be, asked me
which of the several databases he could see was the active one.
I said there is only one guy who would know and that we'll get back to him later.

After sharing some info, just like clockwork Neal had it back up lickity split.

But if the guys upstairs at godaddy who just felt like changing addresses for the fun of it, would have alerted the techies downstairs then all the bs would have been avoided.

I forgot to ask him if they keep their own backups besides the ones our software can do and
if we would have access to it in a dire emergency.

Anyway its nice to see the place back up.
I get a warm fuzzy feeling just knowing that it exists. jb
