Last night I saw the error and figured it was just one of those temporary things.

Tried logging in today and the same thing. Panic set in.

Called the Hosting service and the tech said some files had been changed on Tues March 29.

It wasn't me. I had no need to do so.

Hope we're not being hacked

Prolly just one of those things where a file gets corrupt.

Went in and fiddled with it via FTP. Bingo.

All looks good at the moment but if anyone sees anything off let me know.

Thanks for the follow-up. Would it be any help for a few of the admins to have each other's e-mail addresses, to communicate during these events?

I used to think everyone would be accessible via the forums.
But when it goes down it all goes down. (duh)

It might help to know the exact error you were having. I noticed the .htaccess file had been changed when I updated the board in NOV. Most of the .htaccess file was to block siterippers and the forums that hotlink images most often.

Which files were changed?

The file itself has not changed comparing to older backups. But I think something it refers to is off kilter.

Have not changed anything since the site seems to be working fine.
