I saw this posted for sale and had to get it. The thunder II Version 1 basses are not easy to find in Canada. This one is in Trans black, not the color I would of prefered but you take what you can get.

( you cant always get what you want :devil2: )

The bass itself is in very good condition. One small chip on the back, no fret wear whatsoever but missing 2 of the 3 Westone brass knobs for some reason... :-?

Here is my new toy:

Frenchy, have you ever played one of those late 70 - 80's SB Yamaha double cuts like Santana had played?
If so, how does it compare to your Vantage Entertainers?

Sorry, No Yamaha guitars in my arsenal. Just one bass

Would not be able to answer you since never tried those Yamaha guitars.

Gotta love the Thunder line. Seriously tough performers that make everything else look like pretenders.
That's another beauty Pierre!

The Thunders were battle ready to say the least. Built to perform and to take a beating and keep on ticking.

Sweet axe!

The Yamaha SGs are usually on the heavy side (think PE-1000/1500)... and to me the sound isn't very far from it neither.
