Got to this page through a link on the westone page. Anyway, there's a local seller selling a Concord II (looks to be in pretty decent shape) for $250CDN. He's switched out the pick-ups for EMGs.

Anyone have experience with this one? And in particular the different versions of the Concord II?

Thanks

I was coincidentally talking to someone else on another board about this same guitar this morning. The owner not only replaced the original pups but he also removed one of the pots to install the EMG switches! BOO!!

I have a Concord II and it's a wonderful little player. The original single coils are terrific, and when strung with pure nickel wires it sounds amazing! 'Can't fathom why this guy buggered around with a nice design. If you like it, OK, but I wouldn't pay $250 for this "upgraded" version. I think he's destroyed what made it collectible and unique in the first place. :(

Yeah it left some unsightly holes that were filled with plastic filler where the original knobs were. And $250 did seem a bit steep to me as well. I think i will keep looking!

You don't have one to sell do ya? :D
