Does anyone know where I can get exact or similar replacement knobs for a Westone Thunder bass. These are the brass knobs that are wider on the top.

I would also love to know. I don't actually think anyone makes replicas or replacements, unfortunately.

Hi guys, your best bet is to check out the Westone "spares" page:
http://www.westone.info/spares/index.html
(I dunno if the bass knobs are the same as the guitar though)
At the moment he appears out of stock but a note there says that more is coming later this month.

The best place to ask is the Westone Forum:

http://forum.westoneguitars.net/forum.htm

In fact if I remember rightly a member over there actually made, or had made some replacement brass knobs.

You may need to show a pic of your knob (sorry! :D ) - I had a Thunder 1 guitar and the knobs weren't tapered - just conventional parallel short cylinders, shaped pretty much like a speed knob. I needed one replacement and eventually got one through a different forum, which came from a Thunder 1-A bass - it was the same as mine. Yours may be from a later model.

Anyway there's a lot of spares trading at the Westy forum so somebody might have what you need.

Jon.

I'm facing the same problem. It's the Holy Grail, you'll live forever if you find them :D

Found these Gibson Goldtone knobs in the USA:

http://www.mojotone.com/Guitar-Parts/Gu ... etal-Knobs

They have an indentation but they're brass plated, the closest to solid brass i could find.

Alternative: Gretsch knobs WITHOUT the G logo, seen here at AxesRus in the UK:

http://www.axesrus.com/axenob.htm#Knobs (scroll down a bit)

That's the best I could find. I'm corresponding with a guy here in Holland who can make solid brass knobs but i haven't heard from him in a while.

Close-up pictures of the knobs:

Good luck!

I just measured the brass knobs on my Vantage VA-900. They're the same. They're on my Vantage X-88B bass, too. Just to let you know they were used on other Matsumoku brands/models too :) .
