does anyone know anything about these guitars? i understand that Mats built them...and some Hondo models are exactly the same save for the name plate...

there is a cherry red SG for sale near me...just looking for some info...

bump. I'm looking for info too. There is an early 70s Les Paul Custom Seville near me with a set-neck

I don't know that Seville is particularly identified with Matt. Matsumoku did make some of the Hondo II guitars but others were made by a variety of factories. Most of the Matt off brand LP copies were bolt neck. If you have pictures, that would help.

Yeah, the Sevilles I've seen had bolt on necks and sold for around $150.

I did see another LPC set neck Seville sell on ebay for like $80, not counting shipping.

The guy I'm talking to wants $750. These are some of the pics below. He says its early 70s...

The fact its bound front and back would lead me to believe its early to mid 70s.
It looks a LOT like my late 70s Global. Not a $750 guitar by ANY stretch of the imagination. :-?
$150 is probably close to what it sold for when new and probably the most I'd consider paying now.
