Just scored this Westone Spectrum 111 off ebay, and despite doing a few searches, I cant find that many like it.
Pics are of how it arrived, it does need a bit of work on it, but nothing that serious.
Apart from one of the knobs not matching, it seems to be all original, though it is missing the arm for the vibrato unit.
One of the back covers on one of the tuners is missing too
Serial number puts it at a 1984 I think.
Thing is that all the searches I have done for a Spectrum 111 come up with models that have a longer horned body, locking trem systems, slightly different headstocks, and sometimes different pickup combos and switching. Mine looks like a Thunder/Paduak/Concord shaped body, the trem is non locking, the headstock is the older Westone shape. The hardware is all black on mine too.
Anyone shed any light on this one please?
I'd love to know more about it.
It is about third on my list of guitars to work on, it doesnt need much doing to it, the jack socket is a bit crackly, the strings look like they have been on for all of its life, but I think I can fettle this up into a nice playing guitar.
The neck on this one is pretty nice too, not too thin.
