Picked up this Hondo guitar which was in a sorry state, but it seems to be well made, has a chunky nice neck and DiMarzio pickups. It has a bolt on neck, and is pretty heavy too and was wondering if this was one of the ones that were made in the Matsumoku factory?

Would welcome any thoughts, thanks.

Any markings on the neck plate? Just based on look I would say no. The confirmed Matt made ones were all Hondo II's.

The only ones I own or have owned that are Matsumoku are the Hondo 11 Professionals. One has MMk61 pickups and the other had MMK45's. There may be others but I am no expert.
