Hi, new here but loads of great info found already. I bought an Aria Pro II TS 400 back in early the early 90's and have loved the guitar - it's the one I still have and has outlasted loads of others.

Anyway in a moment of madness (I thought it was good at the time) I replaced the bridge pickup and now want to try and find and original Bridge pick up and rewire the guitar to its original spec - anybody know where I can find a wiring diagram and if its possible to get hold of an original bridge pick up.

The literature we have access to tells us that the TS400 had Protomatic III pickups, which I suspect is APII code for MMK45s, probably with a phase reverse capability.... I'm not 100% certain of that, though, and hopefully one of the experts will be along directly to confirm or not!

is yours the 3+3 headstock, or the 6 inline??

Ooooh... pretty!!

Take the neck pickup out when you get the chance and seewhat, if anything, is stamped on the baseplate; I suspect it will be MMK45...

They do come up on the online auction sites from time to time, but I've not seen a zebra for ages!

Good luck with the hunt!

Welcome humero!
I love the color. I never really thought much about which pickups would be in this guitar because I just assumed they would be MMK45s. But when Corsair said Protomatic III, I thought, isn't that whats is in my PE-R60?
My PE-R60 does show to have Protomatic III pickups and they are indeed MMK53s.
As Corsair said, pull the neck pickup to be sure. I would be interested to know.
Either are going to be difficult to come by but they are out there.

Somehow, I missed this thread  ... Gorgeous guitar  !
There 's a guy here in Germany who is selling an MMK45 on the fleabay Kleinanzeige (small ads site) and also has a MMK53. He's asking 50 Euros (negotiable) and will probably want the same for the 53.

I don't know where you're at humero, but if you're interested and don't want to negotiate internationally (don't know if the guy speaks or reads english), I could work as a "go between".

Hey, I'm in the UK.

Just looked at the neck pick up and its an MMK45. Are the neck and bridge pick up the same?

I believe there are rare occasions when the 2 pickups don't match but I would think both of these would be 45s.
