Hi,
I recently purchased this VA900, and when I got it, the preamp worked. However, when I removed the back plate to mess with the jack, I must have bumped one of the wires, pulling it free. It is the red wire in the picture, one of two wires that runs to the battery connection. I'm assuming it attaches somewhere on the circuitboard that is screwed into the back plate. Does anyone have a schematic for the VA900, or have any guesses as to where that red wire should be reconnected? Thanks!

It looks like the +9v wire from the battery. If I'm seeing things correctly. On the circuit board, next to th black battery wire, is there the broken remnants of that connection? That is very likely where the plus wire broke off. You can carefully heat up the solder joint with a small soldering iron and remove the remaining stub of wire. Then strip back a bit of the red insulation and resolder it back in. If you don't have any soldering skills - you might reconsider doing it yourself until you've practiced. I'd hate to see you mess it up. Or you could send it to me! :)

Thank you! I will take a look and see if I can figure it out from what you've told me. I have OK soldering skills, but this stuff is so tiny!
