Hi Guys,

Need some help in locating a part for the bridge on my 250. One of the string supports is broken, and I have no idea where to look for a replacement. I do not want to replace the entire bridge if i can help it, so maybe some-one has spare parts? willing to pay obviously.
My 250 is my favourite guitar, and it's currently gathering dust, much to my despair..

Hi Corsair,

Easier said then done, having a few problem in getting the picture loaded, but yes it will be saddle that's broken. (the part that the string runs on when poked through the back of the body..)

Hope that helps...

Cheers

Hans

Is that the one with the tall saddles? If so, you may have a problem.

OK..... Well,, I haven't got anything that looks like that!

Do you have the broken piece? If so, a decent model engineer could probably either weld it, if it's good enough quality metal, or make one; I had some bridge parts fabricated by such a bloke in South Otago many years ago..

well, I've had some-one try to weld it: that lasted about 2 minutes before it broke again...
If no-one has any spares, I'll have to try and get it copied.
Unless any-one knows of any bridge parts from any current guitars that might fit the bill...

To my knowledge, there are no direct replacements for these. Many of us are in need.
You might check ebay/craigslist as they surface from time to time.
I've seen people use strat replacement saddles and then use a spacer under the plate to overcome the height difference.
Maybe not the best solution but it works and its considerably less expensive than making replacements.
