Post here with questions regarding the technical side of the Guitars of Matsumoku. Sorry guys, but Squier Strats and Goya LP clones don't qualify.
Hopefully those of you needing a little info regarding the technical aspects of these guitars will be able to find what you need here. Please keep posts here focused on technical Q&A aspects of the guitars covered here as there are other areas of this site and other sites more suited to general discussion. In a nutshell general technical issues not specific to the guitars covered by this site are better suited to general guitar sites and their forums.
Please, no e-Bay links. They expire after so long and essentially make the original thread pretty much useless littered with broken links. Please upload pics to an image hosting site instead. Threads with eBay links will be quietly removed without notice. This also includes references (listing numbers, etc.) to eBay auctions.
Many of us have an extreme passion for these giutars, and many of us have resurrected one or two and have many ideas along these lines. Please make suggestions cautiously as not every individual reading the posts may be at the same expertise level, and not every suggestion is appropriate in all instances.
Please take great care when posting suggestions. Please avoid untried/untested or non-standard procedures that could permanently alter or othewise permanently affect and instrument's condition.
Okay, time to cover the site's backside.
This site cannot and will not be responsible for the implementation of anything duscussed in this forum by anyone other than skilled professionals. Anyone executing any suggestion or solution provided here on their guitar or anyone elses does so of their own accord. No-one here on this site or the site itself (meaning me) is putting the fret file, soldering iron, etc. in anyone's and and forcing them to do anything. If in doubt, always cosult a skilled professional first.
I imagine it goes without saying, but to be on the safe side, please keep the topics here within the scope of this site. Meaning, schematics for an Ibanez Iceman, Bridge help for an Alembic, or how to re-finish a guitar in general will likely not get the results they would at forums run by
Guitar ReRanch and will probably end up in the off-top/site unrelated fourm.
Hopefully someone here will have what you need, just be patient.
