Hi guys...I'm back, after a long break (due to a computer crash). I used to go by "skylark44", so I'm glad to be back..finally
I've got a pickup marked MMK 45, on the back (stamped letters, with the numbers in INK), BUT..mine has one coil with hex-head polepieces, AND the other coil has a BAR polepiece!
What's up with that
I know it's supposed to be a MMK 45, but is it some oddball later model (or earlier one)? It's got 2" pole spacing (on the pole piece coil), and should clock in at 11.8k,(I haven't checked yet)so I'm stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx,
Norm
I think Corsair is correct with the westone UBC pickup. Each coil in the UBC was a different resistance (unbalanced coils) and reportedly used different magnets. The construction of these MMK-45's is definitely way different to the std Aria MMK-45's.
If they are split coils, the resistance of each coil would definitely help identifying the UBC's from the std MMK-45s. Can you access a multimeter?
