Hi folks,
for the restauration of my active VANTAGE VA 900B I might need a wiring diagram!
Couldn't find one here. Thanx in advance!

Same function of switches and knobs as VA 900 guitar ? Or are there differences ?

Found a wiring diagram for the guitar. Can I use this for the electronics of the bass?

Is the bass active? If it's not then there will be major differences...

On the 900 they are for coil split, phase and boost on/off. I reckon you can probably use the 900 schematic for the 900B as long as the same number of wires come out of the pickups.... someone else will know for sure?! :)

I never took a look Johann since mine works perfectly. I will take it out this weekend and take pics and try my hand at making a diagram to help out.

I'll visit a guitar tech pro next week. He is a Luthier, from England, and probably the best guy for Vintage guitar repair in Vienna.
Last week I showed him the bass when I picked up my '72 Strat which has had some neck issues.
It would be of help to have some kind of a wiring diagram, was what he said when he had a first look at the electronics!

As for the function of the knobs: volume, tone, booster ? (My third knob does nothing)
and the switches: coil split, phase, booster ? (all the switches on my bass do nothing :eek2: )

Waiting for pics or drawings, thanks in advance Pierre!!!

Johann

OK Johann,

This is for you and Kees since I think he has trouble with his also. I drew this by hand this morning and took a picture of it since lager then a reg piece of paper and added text with Computer. Will try and scan later but let me know if this is OK... Took me a long time to draw... :P I'm not the greatest at this...

Please feel free to ask any question about the diagram.
