I've got a black 3-point bridge hanging around somewhere if that is of any help to you. Black ones are like hen's teeth. I don't think that I have got the mounting posts for it any longer however. Not sure....might have pulled them....

I just found one on eBay @$65 plus $15 international shipping. Just search for EPIPHONE BASS BRIDGE. The seller even states that it will fit Japanese Vantage basses.

@BR: thanks, found that one too. Reasonably priced, but including VAT and customs fees, still around 100-110 dollars a piece for me. RSBBass and Prostheta, thanks too, I might take you up on those offers later :) . For now, the friend I got the VS600B from (mentioned the problem with these bridges to him too, of course) told me he has this blacksmith/metal worker that helps him out with (antique) metal guitar parts. This guy would be able to straighten the bridge base out (using heat and special tools), and then harden it, the way it should have been done by the supplier 30 years ago. Sounds pretty good to me, worth a try, I think. I haven't done any 'bad things' (like trying to straighten them out in a vice  ) to them yet, so, damage might just be repairable by a specialist like that. I'll be bringing the bridges with me when I visit my friend's new workshop next month. (It's about an hour and a half's drive from here, peanuts to you Americans, Canadians and Skandinavians, I know, but for the Dutch it's a real distance. Any idea howmuch they charge us for fuel?) I'll keep you posted.

Groeten, (Dutch for 'regards' or 'je')
Kees.

Sounds like something to try, but I'd first take a close look for cracks- mine had multiple cracks already formed on the "ears" that hold to the posts and on the bridge body between each of the hooks that hold the string ball-end (those cracks ran vertically from the ball-end location to the holes that secured the intonation-adjustment screws). It wasn't worth any efforts at all, so the vice was tried just to get a temp fix so I could start troubleshooting other issues. The bridge ultimately failed at the point where the ear met the bridge body, because the posts had held the ears level while the bridge body had curved away. Also, the tongue that meets with the front post had bent up badly as well.

je (English for 'je')

Finland is not Scandinavian. :)
I hope your drive isn't in vain. Would be cheaper to buy a new bridge!

Finns. Suomalaisia in Finnish
My bridge was an Epi aftermarket part I bought for the Thunderbird I built. Knocked the headstock off, so it's a spare now.

I've purchased from this seller, the transaction went smoothly.

He's got 8 new ones available in chrome, 4 available in black, $50 each and he'd probably combine shipping (he did for me). One used one (chrome) in an auction listing:

I beg to differ. Finland is most certainly within the scandinavian community...

There's a silver 3 point Epiphone bass bridge (for an EB0 Bass) at the US bay.

4 hours left, EUR 10.- at the moment, 20.- for shipping
