Hi guys,

I've been looking for japan washburn basses on second hand market and I can't find info of this vintage instruments.

I've found this FORCE 4 PRECISION STYLE BASS (dated 1983??) and the price is about 550€ - 660$

Here some pics:

When it comes on to the market in 80's the price was 399$. Should I pay 550€ for this instrument?

In the US that would be rather high. I don't know in the Euro zone though. Try doing a search on e-bay to see what the prices have been.

Nice bass, and definitely a good instrument, but the price is just nuts.
If it were around €300 it'd be a fair price for a Force 4 in very good condition.

Actually, I have seen several of these go for €200 or less - whether they be Force 4, Force 8 or Force 40 EQs.

My Washys?
1983 Force 4 (mint) $175.00 US
1983 Force 40 EQ (some battle scars, but still in great condition) $150.00 US
1984 Force 8 BBR (Had to replace tuners) $225.00 US

Exceptional basses in my opinion, but never all that popular - making them a steal!
