Hi guys ...Newbie here....I am considering the purchase of this guitar..owner doesn't have much info ..It is an emerald green color has 2 singles and a humbucker...he says its MIJ..serial # 9508101
any help identifying will be greatly appreciated

Hi Zookster,
pretty Strat-clone, especially in that green finish. Not half bad either, but certainly not MIJ. Those were made by Samick in South Korea, around 1993, judging by the logo type face ... :no:

Is it a descent Quality? Are vantage guitars from that era worth looking into? He's asking $180 with the case

It's an entry level guitar. But certainly better than most strat clones in that price level that come from China these days. I'd consider 180 $ reasonable, if both guitar and case are in very good condition (just because I love that finish, otherwise I'd say ... 150.).
