Thanks for the info!!!Would you know any reason why it doesn't have a serial # or is it just hidden really good??
And is it worth any value in good shape I plan on redoing all the pickups n wiring, and im taking it to work tonight or mill the body so i can properly setup the floyd. Could you point me to a forum that deals with samick vantage guitars???

The pics are very small, and for some reason I cannot enlarge them to take a better look. Could even be more recent (mid- to late 90ies) and/or made by Samick in Indonesia. The earlier Samick Vantages usually have the Snr stamped on the back of the headstock (set neck, neck thru) or engraved in the neck plate (bolt-on models). Later on, they just put a small sticker at the base of the neck, that came off quite easily.
Post-Matsumoku Vantages are widely considered 'moderate quality' at best. I had a couple, and most were pretty well-build guitars, good playability, but the hardware was usually of pour quality. Yours looks to be a 418FT (or similar). Value: these 'higher end' models sell in Europe for between 150-250 Euro's. The 'lower end' models (like 113T, 118T) can be found for as little as 50 Euro's. I'm not aware of any dedicated forum or website :dunno: , sorry ...
There's a couple of models from these series on GuitarDir: http://www.guitardir.com/specs.php?Node ... &Context=3

The hardware is definite junk most the tuning pegs are cracked on the bolt sleeve and judging by the pic on kijiji the floyd isnt aftermarket and is a poor setup in my mind what goods a floyd if it cant float!!! Do the Japanese models carry a heft price tag and how do they compare to an ESP wouldn't mind tryin to find an invader. I think Adrian smith from iron maiden played one on their number of the beast tour...

I would love to know if an Invader was used for "The number of the beast" tour or album.... that would be so cool! 8-)

Find one, go there, bring an experienced friend along for a second opinion. Feel her, play her, hear her. Then YOU decide what the guitar is really worth (to you). ESP? :dunno: ,but a VERY experienced friend of mine would trade me his PRS (and not the cheaper kind) in a heartbeat, if I would offer him a mint Vantage VA800 ... Never let anything or anyone tell you howmuch a good guitar is worth, especially no dumb decal!
