I was looking at a $29 Aria Pro II amp today (horrible little buzz box, so passed) and the guy also had a brand new MIK Aria -- the story was that his son's guitar store went bust and he was selling off some stock.
He said it was a PE-STD, and that's what the box said too, but it wasn't a PE shape, it was an LP shape:



The official Aria website doesn't mention LP copies but unless this is an elaborate fake (unlikely for $300) it seems they are still being made.

Not a bad guitar by the way, a bit buzzy but raising the action wopuld have fixed that.

No, Aria does not currently make any copies and brand them with Aria Pro...

But!
Aria has two sub-brands, Blitz and Legend, and they do make LP copies(and other copies) for these brands. These are MIC and MII(Indonesia), from what I know.

During the MIJ phase, Aria stopped with copies in 1982, but resumed copy-production in the very late 80's and early 90's when production moved to Korea. Not sure of exact years since anything post MIJ doesn't interest me, but copy production with Aria-branding didn't last very long from what I've gathered(but I could very well be wrong here).
