Here's a great little single pup rocker!
In really good condition um, except for that F%&^*@G barrel saddle bridge!!
If you look at it closely Uncle Mats had to mount this horrible cr@p at an angle to make it work!

Pots have been replaced, as well as the original knobs, but if you buy it, tear that bridge out of there and put in a proper surface mount bridge. Then you've got a fantastic machine!

It could use some colour, but that's just cosmetic.
CAD$225 w/gig bag

... and who knew that 1 CTS pot would make a difference to the price?!

I love mine; mind you,I customised it pretty seriously - it is the Corsair Avenger now...

The Avengers are much under-rated, I feel; light as a feather, great pickups and as rock'n'roll looking as all hell....

Yep, hard to choose between Spectrums and Avengers. That's why I have BOTH!
(I am so weak)

Hmm...he's raised the price...by $10!?
(I have a feeling this may be a high school student selling this.)

I have been seriously thinking about getting this if I can swing some extra pre Christmas funds. Got an itch to try a trans-white finish with gold and black accents.

But Geez, another $10?

new price: CAD$235

Looks nice and clean, Barry - go and offer 150 for it; see what sort of response you get....

I don't know why he raised the price by $10...weird. :toopid:
Makes me think he's someone who either doesn't know how to sell something, or he's extremely hard up financially!

I was originally going to offer $200 but I think you're right, I'll try reverse psychology and offer less as he asks for more!
The seller is at least an hour's drive away and it costs time and gas to go get it so...nuthin' to lose eh?

Here's what I'm thinking:

Yeah; I dig it! Although trans white like the trans red and blue would be just epic! And there is the urban legend that there was indeed a trans white SX/MX....

The worst the seller can do is say "No thanks!", eh!!

Wasn't aware of the trans white SX/MX rumour.
But I do have a solid white Spectrum S and it's kinda special.
First of all...it ain't black!
And it's the only white guitar I own, never mind the only white Mats guitar.

Time for another?

I made him an offer of CAD$180 and it was politely declined!

I was wrong about his being a student or some such. He appears to be involved with guitars and gear in one capacity or another.

And he made reference to his daughter (!) who apparently has a desire for this guitar, and might well end up with it along with a bunch of his other gear.

Exchanged a few friendly emails in which I mentioned the need to correct some things such as the bridge but he figures it will sell one way or another anyway. I left it open to contact me if he changed his mind. :(

Oh well, back to the drawing board. Another dream dashed. *sigh*
