There is a LOT wrong with this ES-800. I've contacted the store about it offering to provide additional information regarding its condition but no response. Figured as much, all they care about is money and not the instrument or music. It looks like they updated the description to include the missing mode switch though.
The mode (varitone) switch is gone and I suspect the output jack is no longer stereo (TRS) as the mode switch is gone (probably TS now). From their description it looks like it is nothing more than an expensive wall hanger. They may think it is a "great deal" but I beg to differ.
Their description:
"This guitar has wear that is consistent with it's age, like a warped neck ("s" curve), cracked binding, chipped paint, and very low frets from being leveled. There are also some very noticeble repairs including; thick clear coat sprayed or brushed over certain areas, reglued neck binding, and a missing varitone knob/function."
Can you say beat to F????
