Looks to be in pretty good shape! Coupla small scuffs but nothing too bad. Seems like a decent price.....

I've had this one on my watch list. 17 offers so far. Near mint? Not to me.

Agreed, hardly near mint. That and it's filthy. Smudges all over it. It amazes me how some people will not take the time to at least make the guitar presentable for sale then ask top dollar. Guitar Sinner is notorious for this. I've even seen them listed missing a string or two.

Knobs look like they're off a 1970s Realistic AM radio.

I'm at a loss as to why they measured the action at the first and second fret.

IMHO about $200 too much.

I hold to my rule. If a listing/ad mentions the word "vintage" or "rare" it is immediately off my radar.

One good thing about this model though is the decent access to the upper registers. Bolt-in like the Cardinals, not Bolt-on like a Feign-Dork.

Getting more reasonable. I'd snag it if they paid me for the time it would take to clean it up. I figure $45 for labor and materials? :D

I still don't understand why some sellers will post pics of a smudged up dirty guitar. There was a guy in Japan that had a PE-R60 listed for $1299 and it looked like it had been rode hard and put away wet. There was years of finger jam caked up on the fingerboard and the smudges all over it actually changed the color. There was even finger jam crammed into the saddle slots. I offered to take it as-is if he'd knock off $500 for the time it would take to decontaminate and restore it. No response but I had to try. :D

I just sold a guitar, it lasted less than a day. I got the guitar polish and polishing rags/tooth brush out and spent about an hour cleaning it up. Another hour getting good pics of it. IMHO well worth the effort. This is it:
