Shipping is a tad high but if you contact them they can often whittle it down. Road worn for sure but looks to be in decent shape. Reasonable price for this model.

That's not bad at all even with shipping. I paid $540 shipped for mine back in 2006 I believe.
I'm not a big fan of the diamond position markers but, the guitar is worth it's weight in gold to me.

I got lucky with mine. $545 shipped and it is in near mint condition with OHSC.

All but 5 of my guitars have dot position markers. I never really thought about it. I have one that only has position markers on the edge of the fingerboard and I get lost every time I play it. Afterward I kindof like the dots. :D

My R60 is also near mint but came without case.

So far, all the guitars I've built myself have nekid fretboards. They have dots up top but nothing on the front. It takes a little getting used to but I love it.

It's sold. I told a friend of mine who plays I've know since we were teenagers (50 years) and he remembers playing mine so we snagged it. To think, he started out with a Tiesco and I started with a Kay.

Man, thats awesome!!

I still have my first guitar. Its a Global LP copy from JCPenney in 1978. As a matter of fact, I just dug it out a few weeks ago and I'm putting it back together. It never intonated correctly and as a kid I never understood why. I checked the nut the other day and its installed incorrectly. The bass side is about half a fret too close to the first fret. I'm going to correct that and replace what it needs as I find it. The bridge and tail are in sad shape so they'll be first. :D

Congrats and thank you!!!

Congrats to you and your buddy on the great find! Reasonable price? That's the best price i've seen in the, almost, year i've been on the hunt.

.....and Thank You! For saving me from having to shuffle myself down to the plasma collection center to fund a serious case of GAS!!!

Did notice two thing with this guit... two, what look like, drill holes between the bridge pup and the bridge and a missing knob. I was under the impression these knobs are hard to find, sizewise, because of the depression they live in. Maybe not anymore? And the "drill holes" seem oddly placed, maybe they're there for a reason but whatever that is it escapes me.

Either way, great find!

Those holes were left behind from an early Roland GK-3 MIDI pickup system and don't structurally hurt the guitar at all. There is also another hole on the front of the lower bout from the transmitter. Considering the price the holes are easily overlooked. I had that system on a late 90s Hamer SATF. Much better guitar to MIDI options available now. I have MIDI Guitar 2 and the tracking and accuracy of the plugin is MUCH better, no proprietary gear or cables and even works with wireless transmitters (but you need a DAW like Reaper and USB interface). I can turn any guitar into any one of a hundred synths, even drums.

The knobs are standard notched coarse 18 spline knobs ($10 on Amazon, already ordered).

It took my friend a day to decide if he wanted it. I'm surprised it lasted that long. It was at $749 for a long time.

Ah.... midi system. Never seen one.

I agree, for that price those holes just add a little character! A hardened road warrior! Beautiful guitar regardless!
