Not sure about the origin of this one but it has the look of a qualified instrument for this site.

This looks just like the memphis mg 300 posted recently except the neck on this one is a 7 piece neck through. Which i happen to like more. I'm definitely keeping an eye on this one!

On the fence on this one. It could very well be Uncle Matt but also screams Hoshino. Few Uncle Matts had a volute but many early Hoshino Gakkis did. The control cavity cover is ringing a bell but at the moment I can't quite put my finger on it. In either case it looks to be a killer axe.

I am by no means an authority but this one says Cort to me. Who made Cort?

Not too sure it is Cort. Cort was Korean. In any case it was well made. Few manufacturers used a volute, normally associated with high end builds. I know I've seen that control cavity rout before along with the hex covered tuners but can't put my finger on it.

I would second the "Korean" theory... could be Cort, after all they made/make guitars for about every brand in existence.

It is getting down to a reasonable range. I few things stick out to me which might indicate tampering by a previous owner. The bridge pickup appears to be crooked. One of the bridge post set screws is missing on the treble side and the bass side looks like it might be suffering metal fatigue.

Isn't the bridge pickup looking crooked because of the bridge being crooked?
Also it's possible that the treble side is not supposed to have screw because my
Aria PE has only one screw on the bass side.

No, the pickup is a little crooked but it might be that way form production. I just use that as an indicator modifications have been made. I normally err on the side of safety. After all it is my money and I don't want to unknowingly throw it away. If something looks a little hinky I rule it hinky and consider accordingly. In this case a bridge replacement might be necessary ($50 - $65 plus my labor) and some "fill and drill" if the pickup ring is not placed correctly or has been relocated because the original hole(s) stripped out (again my labor). I've seen this on probably 100s of guitars. I hate fill and drill. PITA.

If this is a genuine Leo Quan Badass bridge it should have set screws on both sides and the "hoops" that wrap around the posts should not be splayed out like it is on the bass side of this guitar.

The Supermatic bridge on the PE models is Matsumoku's take on the Badass, MUCH improved but it is not a Badass clone.

I have two guitars with Badass clones on them and both have the set screw on both sides. Also, the U shaped slots for the posts is not splayed out like this one. If you look closely you'll see the bass post set screw is either cocked or bent inward. These are cast bridges so any distortion due to stress or a blow could mean imminent failure. You don't want that at a gig or in the middle of a smile wrenching groove. :D
