Some claim Ventura was made by Matsumoku but truth is C. Bruno sourced from a number of places. I had a Conrad Ampeg Dan Armstrong Lucite copy and it was unique. Although it was a bit heavy and cramped by the horns at the upper registers next to the body it was still fun to play. Another I never should have sold. This Venture more closely copies the Ampeg Lucite as it looks like the pickup can be swapped like the Ampeg. I'm fairly positive Ventura is Japanese but not convinced Matsumoku.

This one needs some TLC but even so it probably won't go cheap. Cracked pickguard and missing tuner ferrule for starters.

Here's my Conrad for comparison.

The crack in the pickup resin would have scared me too much.

I had a resin pickup remade once... too expensive and it took quite some time.

Although interesting it is not my style. The Conrad was really heavy and cramp at the horns. This one had cracks in the pickguard too. Collector's item, not a player.
