Been watching this fall from 599 over many weeks. might be a good buy for someone at 429, just not for me.

I've been low key watching it myself. I'm actually a bit surprised its dropped this far.
If it gets to MY price range. . . :devil2:

$429 is probably fairly reasonable for one in excellent condition. But, and there's always a but. :D Their pics suck and it is a waste of time asking them what condition it is in. They have very low standards IMHO. That and I know what they do to trade-ins which is absolutely nothing but sticking a tag on it. I could tell you some horror stores! :o

This one looks clean, it's worth a shot but I'm not shooting. My credit card is still burning
from the purchase of the 570. :x
If you have a GC nearby to return to in case you don't like it then you're only out shipping.
I'm sure you know but in case you don't they only give you 3 days to return it because it vintage.

The nearest GC is over 2 hours away. That's 4 hours of my life I won't get back. Then there's the gas.

Pretty sure they don't cover return shipping or refund the shipping you paid.

I've learned my lesson with them. Filthy guitars, missing strings, non-functional components and no setup whatsoever.

If they were smart they'd kill Musician's Friend and bring their site up to Reverb standards. They are huge in debt due to an outdated business model. Even Moron Go Round has better pics.

Sadly no, not me.
Yeah, you can't go by what GC says. They are inept at best.
My Vantage Entertainer was listed in "great" condition. When I picked it up, I assure you nothing had been done to it since it was traded in. It was dirty, parts were loose AND it didn't even work when I plugged it in.
They offered nothing. I could already tell it was worth way more than the $224.99 I paid for it and there was nothing about it I couldn't fix so I told them what I thought of them and took it home.
About 5 minutes with a solder iron and she came alive.
Still p****s me off though. . . :x
