I bought this Daion from GC last week and received it Wednesday and brought it back Friday.
It looked good in the ad, was graded Great, I had never played one and it came with a case so I thought I'd give it a try.

Not so nice once I received it. The bottom strap button was relocated, the neck pickup didn't work
in one of the coil split positions. There are some bad chips and the neck was not tight to the body.
The case was not Dion case.

Overall the guitar reminded me of a Strat, it was comfortable to sit and play and the neck
was comfortable also. I liked playing it but not worth 600 to me .

GC has it back up and it's still graded as being great.

I bought it from a GC in Kalamazoo returned it in NJ. It's still listed as being in Kalamazoo.

I've never put much faith in GC's grading system. I always assume it is just OK and needs work and I'm rarely wrong. I've bought guitars from them that were missing strings, had electrical issues or beat up and yet graded Good to Excellent. IMHO the fact the neck pickup was not function negates the $600 price tag right off the bat all by itself. Not everyone is electronically inclined. This is also proof positive Guitar Sinner NEVER re-conditions used instruments. They stop at slapping a tag on it and sticking it on the wall.

I like the neck/body union. Won't see that on a Strat. I had a Daion Headhunter and loved it. Shame this one didn't work out.

As soon as I saw the chips and the relocated strap button it was over, no need to plug it in to make a decision.
To me, great condition means mint or near mint.

I agree. With Guitar Sinner I always assume "fair" at best regardless of what they grade it as. They are nothing more than guitar flippers and hardly value added re-sellers.
