Hey you can get used to anything, except a stone in yer shoe! :wink2:
In the same way you adjust to different neck profiles, scale lengths, string gauges, etc

I can handle a little variation in neck profile but with arthritis a chunky neck starts hurting after a while. I can go from thin C to medium C pretty easily. I let an Electra MPC Leslie West go because it had a chunky neck. I got spoiled with the Cardinals and the PEs.

That's not worth $1250...... is it?

No, with a little patience you can find a nice Aria Pro II PE-175 "Herb Ellis" listed for under $1000. In Crusty's memory, or mine, they're available for around $500. :)

I've got a nice Cort LCS-1 "Larry Coryell" that was cheap because the eBay listing was weak. But it's sooo big compared to a solidbody, as big as a jumbo acoustic, and the "gypsy jazz" strings I put on it seem sooo stiff compared to the 9s or 10s my old hands prefer these days, that I don't play it for more than a few minutes a day. Nice clean sounds, though!

Even if you pot the pickups, you might still get feedback at from the big hollow body.
