I stopped it... bought my last guitar a long time ago (just checked the year was 2015).

But I still have the aftermath of a serious addiction to deal with.

Yeah I thought I was all finished too until I stumbled on my trans white Vantage Avenger.
Just could not leave it alone! :freaksmile2:

And since it's true confession time, I also picked up a couple of "surrogate Mats" guitars to ease the pain, a Squier Affinity Jazzmaster in burgundy mist with single coil pups, and just for giggles a cherry burst Epiphone LP SL (aka Melody Maker reissue).

The Jazzmaster is beautifully made and schmooooth as silk with nice chimey tones, and the Epi is a very basic slab but surprisingly good build and really rocks if you want it to. Just fun to play. :jammin:

The things we do for our affliction *sigh*

I always tell myself, that I don't buy another guitar, until I sell at least five of my current inventory.

But since I don't want to give them away for nothing at a local shop... and my trial eBay experience was just annoying (answer dozens of questions during the running time of the listing and end up with a non paying buyer)... I didn't sell any yet... so I'm not buying neither... and I'm firm on this.

Next guitar would be a steel string acoustic...

For a while there I told myself if I want another guitar I have to let one go. That worked for a while. But, selling a guitar online, even Reverb can be taxing, aggravating and sometimes even infuriating. I list one for a VERY reasonable price and then the lowballers come in offering a fraction of it's worth. Once I fell for a sob story that the buyer only had so much and his guitar gave up the ghost. I dropped the price for him only to see it listed under his account a few days after he got it for twice what he paid me.

If I do sell a guitar it will be sold on my terms or I''m keeping it. I'm not desperate for money and I can ALWAYS find more room.

Isn't it a remarkable aberration of the laws of physics or sumpthin'?
The space expands to accommodate the addition of the guitar! :toopidlol:

Dr. Who loaned me his TARDIS and I incorporated that technology in my guitar room. It expands in direct proportion to the number of guitars. The room seems small from the outside but step inside and it's a whole different dimension.

My wife and me have an agreement, as long as it stays within one room, she's OK with it.

There is actually a little room left in that room (not much), but my guitar hoarding from the past is not justifiable on any account. Simply put, I haven't played most of the guitars in this room in years... but this are perfectly nice guitars made to be played...
