Up until Thursday night of that week, I was just supposed to be the guitar roadie/stage manager. That balsa-wood Squier bass made it possible for me to sit in on a couple of tunes, then I got elected bass player for the show. It's all good, it honestly was a real morale boost to know that I could do it.

I'm off-stage during this one, electric guitar is the Vantage AV-330 into the somewhat tweaked Peavey Classic 50 212 amp. Acoustic is the 1995 Vantage VST 33 CE TBK (Korean, Samick).

"Monkey Odyssey"

Main electric you hear (starting the song & dominating the rest) is the AV-330, background electric is the Carvin DC127 into my Pearce amp/Marshall cab. There's a Hawaiian lap steel buried in the back, too. Acoustic is the Vantage VST 33. I'm on the VS-600B on this one.

Side notes, just for giggles...the strings on the AV-330 are the ones it was wearing when I got it in early 2011...no idea what brand, presumably 10s. The P-bass is wearing D'Addario Chrome flatwounds, the VS-600B has the D'Addario round wounds I put on for the 2010 Monkey Fest.

Medley of "Answer The Rain", "Simon", and "Comin' Down On Me".

I'm on the P-Bass for all three, acoustic is the VST 33, one of the electrics is the AV-330 (generally the Avenger has no FX on it, the Carvin often has a flanger or similar running). Solos are on an Epiphone Dot 335 (recent vintage) through some OD pedal and a solid-state Stage/Univox amp.

More random bits: the keyboard is my "Old Faithful", a first-generation Yamaha DX7. Bass amp is a Crate 1 x 15" combo that wasn't half-bad, with my extension cab housing an old JBL 2135 15" driver for the far side of the stage. ProTools recording took both of these and the acoustic guitar via DI boxes.
