For those who don't frequent the other Matt forums, here is my XV1 back from the painter and nearly ready to rock!

http://www.rivercityamps.com/electrafor ... 4&start=30

...scroll down a bit...

When wiring it, I was super careful as the H/S/H setup has wires up the ying-yang but when I'd finished, the output was nearly non-existent; bugger!! Then I realised that I'd shielded the control cavity and had neglected to insulate the pots so that is probably where the fault lies.... hopefully!

Beautiful refinish John.
Good luck with the wiring. Look forward to seeing her all done!

Wiring sorted and it now sings, growls, whispers and twangs away good-oh! Dodgy solder joint on the output jack and a little plastic tape was all that was required!

Orphan jack plate, I think - one of the Electra lads is photographing his for me and measuring it so I may have to make one!

Nothing off the shelf will do for the plate eh. Bit of PITA to make one of the fiddly things, no?

Not that I can see at the moment, Barry, no! Making a new one shouldn't be too much of a big deal.... but I'd rather not have to bother 'cause I'm a lazy so & so!! :D
