Yep. Found me yet another one,and this one was simply to good to pass up. What we´re talking here is aaaaaaaaaaaalmost a closet classic. It´s got the occasional ding, but that´s it.
What i´ve done thus far is to take a razorblade to the fretboard, polish the frets with the fretfile shod with 800 paper..lubricate the pots and in turn install a treble bleed across the volume pot.

Yep. Pups i´ve had out,and indeed this is a PE-1000 (IOW Proto´s in there)

Image

What DOES set this one apart tho is..it´s something as rare as a true flametop. Or..top..heck,the entire thing is flamed. :eek2:

Image

Yep. Bet i´m the first one to open the hood of it. Had to as it had oxidized to the point where output was about none existent, and hence..installed a bleed while at it.
Fretwear is..nil. Zero. Nada. Zilch.
Had to polish the regular green stuff off of the frets tho..

Image

As i´m one that believes in Trev...that makes this a -78 vintage PE-1000.

Image

´N yeah. The OHSC is in about just as nice a nick as the guitar. Looks like it´s never been used.

Image

Yep. Intact. That there is the stock casecandy..

Image

Ironically,as it really hasn´t been used,it turns out that this is one really great playing guitar! It really is.
As some of you know i´ve owned, and do own,a Masterpiece or two over the yrs n...this one is certainly up there.

Now. :yeah:

Seeing as how I know what they can do and have played one and therefore know how to look after it. :D

Where on earth do you get a hold of these things, man?? The rest of us have to look at pictures!!

Or visit Don in faraway Roma...

Right.

Now, listen my friend... 2 things.

One, if you think a poxy old Winchester Defender with 8 rounds will stop this kiwi... you're right!! So I shall raid Ohjays place instead and uplift the Supertwin!

And two.... awful video; couldn't see the guitar OR the guiatrist; some nice sounds though!

(Mate, we're already planning our return to Europe for a more permanent stay.... so be very afraid!!)

Love the Traynors!
Was a time when a band wasn't complete without at least one. We had a traynor PA. Rock solid, couldn't kill it.
Sounds great Jesper.
