Picked this guy up the other day. The price & timing were right.

It's a crazy colour that I can't say I love but it's eye catching most certainly!! It needs a bit of a scrub and some new strings but it plays well and sounds decent enough. Should give my Takamine a run as the construction is very similar, same era too.

Nice little git!
According to Mozart's history thread this model was introduced in 1982. The "A" stands for Acoustic (duh, as opposed to Folk or Western) and the colour is apparently "Blue". That might account for the odd hue.

I think this one's from '83 from the info stamped inside the soundhole.

The best part of finding this guitar is the guy I got from has several Vantage guitars he's interested in parting with including a hollow-body & a 12 string acoustic.
He's also got the red version of the VA22 and interestingly, it is complete with what I believe are factory electronics.

Excellent. Grab 'em when you see 'em especially the 12 if she's a good 'un!

That's a nice guitar. I doubt you'll find another one any time soon as they were only made for a few years. The photos don't really show off the blue too much though. Shame as it is a nice shade. Enjoy it.

Thanks!! I am enjoying it very much.

The photos definitely don't do it justice. I'm not necessarily in love with the colour but I love the guitar and that is most important.
