Hallo Everybody,

First I like to introduce myself. About a year ago I became a member of the Westone Forus. But I love all Matsumoko's so it's only natural to become one on this one. The main reason being the chance to make use of all the collective knowledge that all of you people possess. Another big reason is that it gives me the opportunity to show of my guitars.

This was my first electric guitar I bought second hand in the 80's

and this beauty is my latest purchase. I bought it last wednesday.

I'm afraid I haven't bought my last one. Because I live in Europe, there are still a lot of nice Mats' guitars to be found, if you are willing to put in the effort. If you take the guitars in the Les Paul photo, from left to right, the Custom I bought in the Netherlands, the PE-500 in Belgium, the VP-750 in France, the VLP-510 and PE-R60 both in Germany. But a man needs a hobby and as far as hobbies go, it's not a bad one.

Kind regards, Rob.

Welcome Rob, great to have you here too!

Many of us have several Mats labels in the rack, and you have a beautiful collection there!
Thanks for posting these gorgeous models.

Hallo Barry,

Thank for your welcoming words on this forum as well. And thanks for your praise. As my collection grows, I tend to gravitate towards the more higher end models. You can only spend your money once, so better spend it on something really nice.

Kind regards, Rob.

True enough, but some of us don't have much $$$ to begin with so we buy low and restore! That also becomes an addiction.

Hallo Jorg,

The guitars in the racks in the background are also Mat's guitars. Those are the ones that I like to be close at hand, so I can play them when the mood takes me. They are also the ones I don't have a case or bag for. The bulk of my guitars are stored in my attic, awaiting a more permanent place were I can display them. The room is already allocated, but at the moment I'm lacking time to finish it. I will post some photos when it's done, but don't hold your breath, it could be a while.
I can satisfy your curiosity a little bit by telling you that amongst the guitars in the rack are a APII CS-350, a TSB-400, a SB-800, a TA-30, a Vantage VA-800, a VA-900 and VA-900B.

Kind regards, Rob.

I've got some free time coming up at the end of the year, so who knows.

I just happen to have a more permanent place where they could be displayed. . . :devil2:

Ich auch! :hyper:

The prices for Mats in EU are starting to get out of hand, even for the lower value models.
