Fresh from Italy!
My "thanks" goes to Marco from "bella italia" who made this deal possible.
It's a 1983 bolt on VS696, the successor of the 1981/82 VS695.
In contrast to the plain 695, this guitar has a "shaped" top.
I've seen two six string VS696s here on the board, both in trans red.
This one is coloured in a lovely trans black. The 3-piece neck is made of fantastic tiger stripe maple wood!

Looks to be in rather good nick too.?
Right now there´s a VP825 for sale up here,and i have to say that i find the contoured tops better looking. Makes for a completely different visual impact.

Yep! Aside from some very small lacquer issues on the body she is in perfect condition and worth every "Lira" I've paid! :D
