Picked this up from Oscar. He´s imported it from Japan, and as he showed it to me the first time i just told him that if he´d ever was going to sell it he didn´t need to bother with puttin it up for sale.
Reason is simple. This is by a large margin the most tonal and well playing/sounding V i´ve ever run into. Simple as that. Further,it´s in a really good nick.
To this day you can still see the marks from the DiMarzio stickers on the pups.
It´s all there and all stock.
Notice how the TRC is relief cut. Not all that common.
The Kluson copies carries a really nice patina to them. The serial isn´t visable in the shot, but it´s a -81 vintage.
Axe doesn´t even show any beltrash. As a whole the impression it brings is that it´s been really well taken care of.
Down to the OHSC...
Point with this particular V tho is how it plays and sounds. It´s kind of instant hardrockville...just PUMPS out overtones and squeels at will.
Even the sun´s got spots though,so there´s a few things i´m gonna do to it. Stringpack height is within reason. I don´t run well with reason though,so what i´m gonna do is cut some more slope into the frets to get the stringpack even closer to the board.
Second is lacks one of the M3 intonation screws for one of the saddles. Easy enough to remedy i guess, but it needs to be done.
Yeah. Gonna wax the pups too as it has a habit of going into feedback a little to early for my taste.
As a whole tho....this is one serious V. I can tell you that much and the paint asf has "yellowed" nicely with age.. In short i´m happy as pie.
