havent been able to update this in a while...work has me swamped lately (i NEED a vacation.... :mad2: ) and havent been able to do anything with the guitars...i did however pick up another guitar...LOL got a free beat up Dean Vendetta.... neck is in pretty good shape.... 24 fret too...

got a day off of work last week, got a bit done on the guitar.....LOL the channels look rough, but the sides are getting painted black so a little filler isnt going to show anyways....

Nice veneer! When the work on the binding is finished I'd suggest to lacquer her (trans)blue! :wink: :D :D

Thanks! This one isnt getting blue.....its gonna be a clear grain, black burst.... Very natural look.... My quartersawn oak one will be getting the trans blue...LOL and possibly a 24fret neck from the vendetta i just picked up.... Pretty darn nice neck...quilted maple with a rosewood fretboard.... Its tempting...LOL

bindings are finally on...LOL 9 hrs of labor later...also wet down the wood to get an idea of the finish...

got the first layer of finish down on the guitar...went on a bit heavier than i wanted, but the best grain of the whole piece is still showing, so its all good... and yes, thats a pearl flake in there...Image
