Why the iron?... :-?

Why the iron? Hot press glue.... i decided on that instead of sandbags since the veneer was so thin... Also the steam aspect of a cloths iron helped to work it around the edges...

Thanks squid!

Heres todays update.... mounded all the pickups and pots, wired it all up and man..... This thing has way more bottom end than it ever had before...... Its nearing the thickness of the p90s in the conrad but completely silent at idle..... i never had full buckers, just an almost useless way too hottreble cheapo ibanez tbat it came with.... Its clean, (probably due to the 7/8.2k ohm windings) and thick.... Which when you take the gain up, adds a nice FAT crunch.... Gonna see what i can do for a vid here in a bit... Gotta eat lunch first though...LOL

For now....

Looks nice and tasty.
The finish looks very matte in this pic. I think I'd be tempted to make her "pop" a bit more though (give that beautiful grain some more depth)??
Very kewl overall.

Thats because the "finish" is "au naturele" currently....LOL I was just mocking everything up... Still gotta get the proper tools for routing the edge bindings, and after that the sides will be either veneered with MORE walnut, or painted gloss black, then everything will get a crapload of gloss lacquer after that...... Its gonna really pop with figure thats just barely noticable in these pics.......
:hyper: :P
