They're all nice, that *THAT* one has potential...that's very, very similar to my old Silvertone.

Nice Pierre. Very Rickenbacker-ish.

If I remember correctly, it`s a 1958 Harmony Stratotone guitar. They were very popular as student guitars back in the day. I bought it from the original owner. No finish left onn the back of the neck... He pleyed this baby to the wood...lol

Hi Barry,

Now that you mention it, the Harmony Rocket does resemble a Rick!...hummm

This one was green and now natural, I also have another that is mint with a sunburst. These were available from 1966-74 ...Dont quote me on this, going on memeory from 4 years ago....

The first one is the most recent Harmony that I own... It`s a Korean made instrument unlike the others that are US made.....

:)

[quote="Earthspin"]Speaking of interesting Harmony guitars, here are some pictures of my Marquis by Harmony est 1892. I don't know much about it but I think it was made in the 80s. [quote]

A nice instrument you got there....

Yep, korean and from the mid 80`s......

I would buy one like that if it crossed my path in a heartbeat....very nice guitar!

Earthspin, I saw an exact replica of your Harmony Marquis.... said they were in the Penny's Catalog during the 1980's. Didn't say where there were made yet, I would assume you are correct about the location! One guy, who owns more Guitars than 4-5 large Music Music stores all combined had the picture of the one he owned that looks to be an exact Model and style as yours. He said his was extremely heavy. I know about heavy Guitars, I have this Kay LP copy made in 79-80 in China that weighs as much as a 5-10 gallon bucket of concrete, if you strapped it on for a one night gig, you would walk like the "Hunchback of Notre (sp?) Dame"....the rest of your life..man that dude is heavy, sounds horrible, plays like you are running your fingers down an extremely course File and I love it! Because My "Aunt" also gave this Guitar to me. Sits in the closet and very seldom sees the light of day. Just get it out of the case to clean it from time to time. Not very often....it looks OK, black LP copy....but the "Good" stops there. I loaned this guitar to a guy who changed the pups and I don't know why or what he replaced the originals with. I took it to a Luthier to for a new plug-in jack....I can't see anything close-up anymore...plus, I do not have a solder gun to do that....anyway the Luthier said he had no idea what the pups were either. Yea, Penny's Catalogs sold these Harmony est 1892 Marquis during the 1980's!!!!

Very nice collection Frenchy, and good work on the restoration. All this one needed was a new nut.

Oneowner, this one isn't heavy at all. I don't have a proper scale but would guess around 8 pounds. It is smaller than an LP and the body is really nicely contoured, almost like a strat. Here are a couple more pics.
