Sound is quite bright.

I guess that might be something to do with the 250K pots, but it might not be. I only used these as that is what Pewavy used for their humbuckers in the T60. 500K might make a difference - anyone any views??

I just used cheap capacitors on it too, and they seem to be fine. After looking at various peoples tests on interweb thingy doing direct comparisons with different types, there seemed to be no difference really, other than cost!

I'll have to have a bit of a play with it now, and see how I feel about it

The usual rule of thumb is 500K for Humbuckers and 250K for single coils, but of course it comes down to individual preference and perhaps wood density. You can always fiddle with cap values too if you have nothing else to do. :lol:

I think you'll find that most HB Mats guitars have 500's.

Yes. I was aware of the usual rule, and so was surprised that the Peavey T60 (humbucker equipped) used 250K's.

I might change then later to see what sort of a difference it makes.
