I recently changed strings on an Aria Pro RS Inazuma (mm, avocado green) that I keep at school as a loaner. This week I noticed that it had developed a buzz at the low frets. Yep, truss rod! The neck was bowed backwards! I loosened the truss rod but it's not quite enough to restore a normal bit of relief to the neck.

Any advice? Heavier strings? Find a new owner? Anyone around here like RS's?

What gauge strings did you move from and to?

Did the environment at the school change recently?

Is the truss adjustment completely loose?

It may take a week or more to allow the neck to settle in to it's new shape.

Really good questions. I hadn't thought enough about why it happened.

I don't recall the previous string gauge, they were average, maybe 10's. I switched to custom lights which are light on top and heavy on the bottom.

I think it may have had to do with how it was stored. It may have had another guitar wedged against it for a week. that could explain it. If so, that's good news, maybe it'll come back to normal this week.

I had to remove the neck to adjust the truss rod (smooth blank headstock, truss rod nut hidden inside the neck pocket). To my surprise there was a shim in the neck, looked like a strip of photographic film. This would be an 83, if i read the 3-starting serial number on the neckplate right.
