Hi everybody,
I'm new to this forum but I thought that you might like to see some Westone guitars and a Hondo II which I've restored.

I am currently putting all my knowledge which I have gained throughout these restorations down into a book and I am hoping to eventually get it published.

I would appreciate your comments on my work.

Thank you,

Pollyanna :)

Welcome Pollyanna! Aren't you the lass from the Westone site who made the Westone straps?! Good work there - maybe APII or Vantage straps are a possibility?! :D

Hi there Corsair,

Thank you for the welcome, yes that's me from the Westone site!

The straps would be a good idea but it's whether or not I could generate enough interest to make it worthwhile, as they involve such a lot of work.

Thanks again,

Pollyanna :)

If the straps are to be sold then it's not advisable to discuss this here on these forums, even if it is at cost. Unfortunately there is no for sale here in any form as in all fairness to allow one means to allow all.

May I inquire as to what subject matter this book will cover?

Hi Cardinal,
Thank you for the welcome and the compliments.
I am an artist so I couldn't resist adding a little flourish to the Hondo. Mind you, I wouldn't have done it if it had been made from decent wood!

As to my book, it is about how to restore/resurrect guitars on a budget and includes the methods and products which I have used on my own guitars, with photographs of various stages of restoration as well as hints and tips.
It is still in the preliminary stages yet and needs quite a lot of work before it is complete.
I am also adding to it as I restore more guitars, so it might never get finished!

Pollyanna :)

The book idea sounds interesting!

I think you'll find quite a few people here that have also rescued an Uncle Matt or two.

Hi Oliver,

Nice to see you too! :)

There's a few others here too that are familiar to me. Ooh, I feel at home already! :D

Hi Admin,

Thanks for the comments, who knows, it might become a best-seller someday! :D That's if I ever get it finished of course!

Thanks everybody for making me feel welcome and anybody who wants to add any tips for my book will of course, get a mention (maybe even a share of the royalties! )

Pauline
