Can't wait to finish it. Here's what I've previously done to it:

The tone really came out after I rewired it. What amazes me is that after all the gear I've owned over the years, this has become my "go to" guitar.

Great Pics and work Fajah!

Can I ask how you manage to remove the fretboard? did you use an Iron?

Also, if you are no longer using the stock pickups, I would be interested in purchasing them from you?

Pierre

Thanks Pierre. I draped a damp cloth over the fretboard starting at the heel, and used an iron on steam setting to remove it. As I steamed each section, I used a paint scraper to slowly pry it up as the glue softened. You have to take your time and only apply as much heat/steam as needed. It actually came off easier than I thought. I then defretted the board using my fret pullers and soldering iron.

The pickups are yours if you like. I won't be using them again. You'll have to solder new leads but everything is there and intact. Send me a PM to discuss further.

 Nice stuff Fajah , that is one intense restore . I can see why it would be your go to guitar , even unplugged it is sweet . I haven't pick up an acoustic guitar in years , I would much rather play a hollowbody acoustically

All done!

I'm going to throw up a video on my Youtube site in the next day or two to highlighting some of the details and provide a sound sample.

Nice job!
I'm still not a big fan of Bigsby's on these guitars, but it looks good and to each his own.
