Hey up, gang... well, progress here is slow-ow-ow due to a number of factors, but the thing is receiving yet more clear coat at the moment... Here it is hung up in the workshop getting its gazillionth coat after yet more flatting down.

I'm not showing any of the nasty bits, like the little sandthrough, and the like...

I fixed the bubble at the edge with some of Stewmac CA and what they call whip tips for the CA bottle - worked a treat; highly recommended for those fiddly little bits where even a syringe won't go!!

The neck is bolted on for the first time in some years, I'm guessing and I'm starting to deal with the electronics; these are V/T/T, aren't they?

Where does the blue wire on the right hand side of the selector switch go?? It has a broken switch tip and I'm hoping that the wafer 3 way I've got is going to be able to replace the box style that OEM.... anyone care to comment?!

When I offered up the pickups, I found that the holes for the pickups must have been messed about with as the pickup rings don't quite cover the entire hole and there is a small gap down the lower bout side....

Still... looking forward to plugging the thing in now; light at the end of the tunnel stuff!! By the powers, it's really, really light....

I think you have your answer already from westbone over at the westone forum John?

Interested to see how you make out with it. I have a Spectrum which needs a replacement, same OEM box type too.

Doesn't that just burn yer toast? :look:

Surprising isn't it? I find the neck to be much heavier than the body, yet the whole guitar seems to balance nicely in (stand up) playing position.

The switch is a single pole double throw switch (SPDT). You could also just use one side of a double pole double throw switch (DPDT). It is common for guitars to use DPDT switches even when they are not needed.

BTW Swamp Thing is looking good. When does The Hollywood Avenger get to join it? Remember the reunion is slated for my place. Whiskey and Calvados provided.
