I was given an epiphone ft-165 MIJ that is in really bad shape. I saw it in the catalog posted here. Is this a Mat? How can I tell? It has the same specs as the one in the catalog.

Ha! :) It's on the way. :P Not playable at the moment, though. Someone tried repairing it years ago and did a lousy job. I am going to have to learn new skills to bring this back to life.

Pics are coming, but I have it taken apart right now. The brace where the neck attaches is broken, hence the neck sinking into the guitar body. It also has a bit too much bridge bulge. Overall I think it might be fixable, but probably won't ever be cosmetically appealing.

Well P., I see your confusion, we don't wear our pants as tight as you guys do up north (need the extra room :o ). I always thought that the tight pants thing was just about staying warm, but know I know the real reason. :D

Sorry no repair tips fron me.
I'm just wondering what strings they had on it.
It didn't happen to have fencing wire on it did it :lol: ?
Looks like you have a bit of work on your hands to get it up and running again (it can be fixed though).
Time paitence and money is all that it takes.
