Hello everyone. I've recently rescued a Vantage Ghost from an abusive environment and would like to bring her back to stock condition. I require a bridge pickup as the current one is not original. If any one can help me out here I would appreciate it. Just send me a pm and we'll work out any details. Thanks.

I had a ghost...it was my first uncle Matt guitar.

I had no clue what it was until after the... umm... accident.

I was a young high school student. The first thing I did was strip the finish....and shorten the headstock. Not too bad...it was still a functional guitar. Well, a few years later, I (for some odd reason) fell in love with mini - v (jackson style flying V's) and in my infinite wisdom, I took the guitar to a tablesaw...and ruined it. I'm only 26 now, so that was about 8 or 9 years ago. I know... I still cringe when I think about it. I saved a slab of mahogany from it for a few years to remind myself to NEVER do anything like that again.

All that to say. I did salvage the hardware (but it has all been used in other projects), and the pickups were MMK45 pickups

Good on ya for rescuing her!
You'll need an MMK45 pickup, and if you keep an eye on eBay you'll eventually find one. They come up fairly regularly...in fact, there's a listing right now if I'm not mistaken. :)

Well that certainly qualifies as an abusive environment all right! I like your story though and hope you've mellowed somewhat with age.
Thanks for the info on the MMK 45. Are they all created equal these things or is there a difference in resistance between some?

If I remember correctly some Westone MMK45's had unbalanced coils and thus would sound a bit different. They are all good though. The only problem is with age they can become microphonic. Its a good idea to pot them while you have them out.
