I've long lost count of the ones I've banned/deleted.
I'm getting quicker at it though. . .

Im not certain how effective this is but...

On more than one forum I've joined they require you to post anywhere from 1 to as many as 4 times in a specified thread or set aside area before full privileges are granted. One even required me to submit 3 posts 2 days apart each before I fully cleared the registration process.

Anything that involves human thinking/decision making or action will do it.
As I understand it, the problem is not so much finding a solution as getting access to the software right now to implement it.

From my limited outside perspective and access to the site (zero) it appears like the current version of this PhpBB software is 3.0.9. The currently available version is 3.0.11. At minimum this forum should be maintained at the best available version. Spambots are design to exploit security and programming vulnerabilities. No point making it easier for these buggers, every little bit helps.

Click on the member's name, choose "administer user", in the 'Basic Tools' section, look for the drop-down window near 'Quick Tools', one choice is "Delete All Posts". Click that, then press 'submit'.
