Today I received another batch of about 6 "old" topic reply notifications. This has happened several times before as well.
There is no connection between them, they appear to be random topics, and some are as old as 6 months or a year ago.

To make it even more annoying they're mixed in with new notices so I have to open each one to check.
Am I the only on receiving these??

Every so often, a spambot gets registered, posts a bunch of replies to old threads, and then gets banned/deleted by the mods. It may be that these are the sources of your phantom emails, since there wouldn't be any record of the replies once they get purged.

That could be the solution, Barry,because the mods tend to go in and ban/delete as these bastard thing appear? If not, then I dunno as I have hd no problems like that here...

Have been getting them for the past month or two.
Thought it was just me as no one else had mentioned anything about it.

I think you may be right Mike. Perhaps it's also linked somehow to the number of posts??
Glad I'm not the only one Don! I was feeling persecuted. :lol:

I just received another batch of 9 old messages today, plus a few more yesterday, same deal as before.
Can the Mod's confirm a recent deletion of any Spambots in the last 24-48 hrs?? If not, then that isn't what's causing the problem.
