Howdy; i recently traded for a Hondo Longhorn II, 31 fret guitar, it has intermittent wiring problems which i am going to correct. planning to replace all pots, switches, etc. before gutting i am making a wiring schematic as i couldn't find one online, it has one MMK45 humbucker. My question is i would like to know the wiring color hook up, what color is for north start, north finish, south start, south finish, wire colors on the pickup are black, red, brown, orange, i could not find this info online probably because these guitars were only produced from 1978 to 1982 making this pickup at least 31 years old. any way am hoping that this pickup info will help me better understand the wiring of the rest of the guitar as its has a on-board preamp with a switch to turn it on/off and two other switches for (probably from what i have read about the guitar) polarity and pu tapping. would welcome any help. thanks

UPDATE..
adding the wiring drawing i made to see if anybody can help figure it out

Hi ssimm.
I recently had a few wiring poblems restoring a Westone Thunder. Here are some close up pix of the MMK45's courtesy of one of our Westone Forum members, which helped to solve what went where: http://forum.westoneguitars.net/t4086p20-bruised-battered-thunder-i-a#37287
Perhaps this will help, especially if you read the whole post. Also check out the wiring section of our Westone information site for more clues: http://www.westoneguitars.net/fixme/wiring-diagrams/

Most of the Westones came with 45's, others with 53's. Have a look in particular at the Spectrum and Thunder series. I can't recall definitely as I write this but the I think the Mats wiring matches the Seymour Duncan colour codes???
